The second phase began when I discovered that the state of the art in RC had advanced enormously. Electric flight and better electronics took the hassle out of the hobby. And there were such things as foam flyers. As early as 2010 I browsed a local hobby shop and tried a simulator. I was hooked again. I discovered Banana Hobby and decided, after conferring with another hobbyist, to order a Dynam Hawksky. And I had a place to fly it, not far from where I intended to live in the near future. I was going to be married again, you see, and my wife to be supported my hobby interests. We would live together in her home, and the flying area was very close, half a block away, actually. It was large and open and ideal.
